We have arrived!
After a quick lunch in town we checked into our luxury villas, with all students surprisingly pleased with the standard of accommodation. We unpacked then hit the road, heading out to Emma Gorge about an hour drive away. Passing dry pastures, cattle, and boab trees we tested the 4 wheel driving capabilities of our 2 wheel drive mini vans across creek beds.
Sadly on arrival we were informed by the ranger that the gorge was closed. They instead offered a swim and an icecream in the Emma Gorge Resort pool, a fair consolation prize.
Following a great swim we headed back to camp. Oli and Ben were on dinner duty and impressed us with their burger flipping abilities and dedication to washing up. Aria and Anna were an amazing supporting act on the salads. After a journaling session we are now off to bed.
