We started our day in the East Kimberly College, where each of us were assigned a different primary school classroom from year 1 to 4. Throughout the day, we aided the teachers in our classes, allowing us to help and interact with many different students. This included spelling and maths help, as well as assisting in sport lessons and listening and learning along with the kids in Miriwoong (their language lesson). A highlight was definitely playing with the kids in some huge sport matches at break times.
After our schooling adventures, we visited the PCYC (Police and Community Youth Centre), where we played a variety of different games with the kids, like footy, basketball and table tennis. Some of us also joined in with their karaoke and gaming sessions, which was really enjoyable. It was also super cool to see the number of people there and the way that the centre catered dinner for them all.

We then returned to camp for a delicious dinner of pesto pasta, chicken, and veggies, complete with Anna’s homemade garlic bread!
